textile, surface + custom design for interiors + building applications
As one of the founding partners of cutting edge interior textiles and lifestyle brand, Sixhands, I played a key role in building the brand, and designing our interior collections of wallpapers, printed and woven upholstery fabrics, rugs, cushions and lampshades as well as many custom interior projects.
Below is a snapshot of some of the projects and media coverage where my design work has been represented as part of our creative studio.
Many custom interior applications such as murals, lasercut gates and commercial identites were also part of our trade and saw our work featured in the interiors of highly regarded projects by BKH, Enoki Design and Arent and Pyke amongst many others.
Some of our clients include Google Head Office Sydney, Novotel (NZ), Telecom (NZ), The Sergeant’s Mess at Chowder Bay, ANZ U-Bank, Burley Katon Halliday, Woods Bagot, custom textile range for Freedom Furniture, China Beach brand development, Naked Communications interior, The BeachHouse Bondi and many others.
Trailblazing vibrant colour during a period of wallpaper revival, our designs caught the attention of media worldwide and saw us featured in magazine titles such as Belle, Insideout, Real Living, Australian House & Garden, Habitus, GQ, Living Etc, Monument and Urbis.
Our furnishings made multiple appearances in the Australian House & Garden Style Awards shortlist with our Eden Ming wallpaper winning Wallpaper of the year in 2010 and Sixhands achieving number three on GQ's 25 Next Big Things list of 2010.
Sixhands were featured designers on The Designer Travel TV series which aired in 5 countries as well as having product used on The Block and The Renovators series.
Habitus brought us on board to be keynote speakers on our design process and inspiration to a sold out event as part of Indesign Live in 2010.
